Kristi O’Donnell’s Art Styles:

Flowers were my first true art form – watching them grow, being amazed by their color and fragrance and observing the bees, butterflies and faeries. I learned to garden with my Mom, Maimu.

My next HUGE inspiration was in kindergarten where I learned how to use crayons and tempura paint to create paintings in the wax resist method. Something like this:

During the years of Flower Power, I learned about brightly colored tissue paper and made paper flowers and discovered collage. In the 2000’s I began ‘Painting with Paper’ as an art form and as a way to teach people how to feel comfortable ‘making art’.
